If you're looking to learn how to make Kuju Coffee's single-serve pour overs, you're in the right place. Check out the video above or follow the directions below, and you'll have yourself a great cup of coffee in under 2 minutes. To try it yourself, grab some pour overs for yourself.

What you need:

  • 1 Kuju Coffee One-Cup Pouch

  • 12oz of hot water (ideally 195°F to 205°F or just below boiling)

  • A mug

Instructions

  1. Open the Filter - After you remove the filter from the packaging, tear open the filter along the perforation, which is right below the text that says "open". TIP: It's easier to open the filter before placing on your mug.

  2. Anchor Filter to Mug - Place the filter on top of your mug. For extra stability, fold the anchors back as shown in the image below. This will help keep the filter secured to the mug, especially on mugs with thicker rims.

  3. Pour Hot Water - Ensure that the filter is secure and slowly pour hot water over the coffee, letting it drip through. Repeat until a full cup (8-12oz) of coffee is brewed. It is ok for the filter to touch the brewed coffee. If you don't have a kettle, here are some great alternativesTIP: Make sure to use water that is around 195°F to 200°F or just below boiling. Using water that is not hot enough may result in watery coffee.

If you like your coffee a little stronger, you can let the filter steep in the coffee for 3-5 minutes for a stronger cup while the coffee cools. If you're wondering why pour over coffee is any better than other brewing methods like french press or drip coffee, check out this article.
