After the first few weeks of shelter-at-home, Americans seem anxious to start traveling again. But with airlines reporting a96% drop in air travel, the likelihood that things will return to normal this Summer seems like a far away future. This is why when it comes to leisure travel, we believe the future is road trips, not air travel.
All the rage has been about the now internet-famousDalgona Coffee. In fact, we even put together our own version of it using real pour over coffee instead of instant coffee. But the newest coffee concoction that has arisen on the internet is egg coffee.
Just last week, the State of California released an odd and specific list of outdoor recreational activities that are safe to partake in during this time in addition to somewhat vague guidelines around how to safely spend time outside.
Mother’s Day (May 10th) is around the corner, and like we saidearlier this week, your mom deserves agood cup of coffee. But do you know what else she deserves? A homemade baked bread, fresh and hot out of the oven. Baking bread has been the popular home hobby to take up during shelter-at-home, and these sweet milk bread rolls will surely show Mom that you appreciate her. They’re sweet, luscious, incredibly fluffy and it evenpairs wellwith a fresh cup ofpour over coffee.
Moms work really hard. I think most of us know this so it’s not really useful to try to convince you, or anyone really, that this is true. But we wanted to write this article to simply convince you that because of COVID-19, mom’s have worked extra hard. We believe the dad’s have too, and really anyone who is staying home with kids these days, but this post isn’t about those people - it’s about mom - so we can politely leave those folks to the side for now.
Sheltering-at-home has kept us indoors, and to further encourage social distancing, majority of county, state and national parks have closed their gates to camping. But that doesn’t mean your camping adventures need to wait until everything returns back to normal. But how can you go camping when everywhere you might go is closed?
Now more than ever it is important to show your support to local and small businesses. By supporting local and small businesses you are putting money back into your own neighborhoods and communities, supporting entrepreneurs, and creating jobs. On average local businesses donate more to nonprofits and have a smaller carbon footprint than larger companies.
Let’s face it, stay-at-home orders have dramatically restricted weekend plans, and while it can be a bummer that we can’t do what we normally might, it’s also an opportunity to try something new or get creative. At Kuju, we’ve been experimenting with all sorts of ways to make unique and dare I say, thrilling, coffee recipes. From cold brew to potentially the hottest internet trend at the moment, Dalgona Coffee, we’re finding new and interesting ways to bring out the best characteristics of coffee through fun and unique coffee recipes.
The internet has run wild...with an ultra-trendy whipped coffee drink – Dalgona Coffee. Yes, we know you probably have already seen this on Instagram, YouTube and for you young folk, on TikTok, but when we learned about Dalgona Coffee and realized that its main ingredient was instant coffee, we thought we could do better. After all, Kuju Coffee was founded by two brothers who got tired of instant coffee. So we spent some time in our experimental kitchen to invent the Kuju version of Dalgona Coffee. Hint: we use real specialty-coffee.
There’s a lot of cooking happening these days. For many of us, we’re being forced to cook because eating out just isn’t an option and ordering in isn’t as appealing as it used to be, and heck we want to make sure we can eat. For others, we finally get to cook to our hearts’ content! From beautiful dessert tarts to never been tried before beef wellington dinners, and of course the ever trusty loaf of sourdough to the infamous Dalgona Coffee (we think real coffee is still better for the record) – it’s all up for grabs.
It's important to take time in our lives for things that truly matter. Those things can be our family, friends, community, careers or school, but also ourselves. It's important to spend time everyday, restoring our mind and bodies, but maybe you are too busy during the day? Too distracted? In a Frump? So let's pair your daily coffee with restorative activity for 30 minutes each day. You will be happily surprised with the difference 30 minutes can make.
Did you know the Kuju team has worked remotely for over a year? What was at first a challenge is now one of our team's greatest strength. We embrace our mission – Cultivate Rejuvenation – and values everyday both individually and as a team. Our ability to adventure, wander, and rejuvenate at home, on a hike, camping, or on a video call allows us to take pride and ownership in our brand and daily work flow.
Peace at home is hard to come by these days. Work, school, kids, eat, sleep, and maybe even exercise – it all happens at home now. Dare we say it’s a bit wonderful however, that we may experience our full humanity in ways not experienced before. But tough it still is.
